What an utter relief it would be to be set free from all that plagues us -- the inner struggle with anger, or contempt, the habitual sins. In the depths of your being, you ache to live a life of goodness; we all do. (Something caused you to pick up a book with the word holiness in the subtitle!) We are made for goodness jut as we are made to breathe, just as we are made to love. Whatever life has to throw at you, friends, goodness is your strength, your refuge in the storm. And there is a way to be good again.

Here is a book that explores the beauty of the genuine goodness available to us in Jesus Christ and guides us through the process, whereby God sets us free by making us whole and holy through his love. You will be relieved. Utterly.

THANK YOU John for writing this book! I want to 'get it'! I need to see it in writing - the prayers, the scripture - so that I can go back as often as I need to as I pursue allowing Holy Spirit to make me holy. I want to be able to share this with others and it is so fantastic to have this 'tool' of spirit filled wisdom for sharing this amazing freedom with other believers. I am so grateful I randomly picked it up - not so random with Father God!

Desiring Holiness for the first time.

    Review by: Sue
I was raised very religiously and quite frankly the word holiness struck terror in my heart. Too hard. Too harsh. Too much expected of me - that I am unable to attain.
I did not understand that holiness is needed for wholeness and I SO wanted wholeness!
I am almost finished reading it and I now have a desire for holiness. I want to be like Jesus.
No longer feeling afraid or trying to avoid it. I will re-read and continuing opening up my heart to God for wholeness AND holiness. (Posted on 4/10/13)

    John does it again!

    Review by: Jeff Carter
I got this book at the beginning of Lent and I couldn't think of a better way to start the Lenten season than to be reminded of the ultimate purpose of holiness. This book takes the subject of holiness out of the realm of a religious pipe dream and makes it attainable. Like much of John's writing it offers practical steps on how to implement this and walk it out in your life without chessy "tips and techniques."
I've already got three other guys reading this book and I've only had it two weeks. I will continue to share it. (Posted on 2/23/13)

Sets Deep Anchor Against Life's Drift

    Review by: Windmill Duke
Nope, didn't read it. Yet. Ordering four. Why? Because I'd downloaded Holiness in my Ipod several years ago accidentally. When I played my outside music system, Holiness chimed in. Could not stop listening, taking notes, and sharing with family. Gardening suffered, eternity gained. Add to this daring Jonathan Edwards level topic, John's clearly gifted expressions and insights means I am ready share this message broadly as an anchor set deep to give RELIEF to the drift of so many errant tides of our shifting" Christian culture." Undeniably Inspired

    Review by: mtnbkrkowboy
The immense amount of scriptures that John included in this book sent me back to the bible to read story after story in it's entirety. He was able to put into words many issues that were deep in my heart and opened my eyes to several others. He has encouraged me to pursue the genuine holiness God has intended for me. Answers for things people struggle with

    Review by: Rob from Tennessee
I have listed to John's teaching series on this topic, and read this book. It radically changed the way I look at holiness, what it is, and what it is not. I was confused for years. Holiness to me seemed like taking bad medicine. You knew you had to take it to be better, but you hated every moment of the experience. But beyond explaining what holiness is and what it isn't (which is an utter relief), John lays out the steps to freedom and wholeness so that holiness can become a reality in your life. Review of Teaching CDs

    Review by: OkieBart
This series has shaken my world. I always though of holiness as unattainable and, honestly, boring--some sort of mystic state I could never achieve. After listening to John's teachings several times, true holiness as Christ meant it to be actually draws my heart closer to him. Attainable holiness-- it's true, it's there, it's what we were meant for. Thank you John and all the Ransomed Heart team. (Posted on 1/9/13)

    "Relief" is the correct word.

    Review by: Jason
I have the live teaching; to hear holiness described in terms of "healing" and instead of "strict living" is paradigm-shifting. Knowing how to approach your heart -- as well as deal with the spiritual warfare that goes along with this approach to the spiritual life -- is much-needed.

    Highly recommended. (Posted on 12/24/12)
